On my way out the door to pick up Jeff at the airport in Bordeaux, I thought I'd give this thing a try first...
I stayed at a friend of a friend's place in Merignac (burb of Bordeaux) last night, so I'm just a few km from the airport. Excited to begin the adventure with two of us! So far I've experienced loads of great hospitality and beautiful people, looking forward to more of it. Today I think we'll just focus on getting Jeff's bike put together and cruise into the city center to drink a lot of coffee and people watch for a while. There are a bunch of festivals going on here right now (it's hard to keep track of!) so we're certain to stumble into something fun.
As it is his first day, I'll try to refrain from putting heavy rocks in Jeff's panniers until at least tomorrow...
